You must either contact the state Nurses registry or the California Board of Registered Nursing.

You must have a California CNA license that expires within the next 90 days OR is delinquent by no more than 8 years from the last expiration date.

How long is my California CNA license valid?

Your California CNA license is valid for up to 8 years. You must also complete 30 hours a year of continuing education credits.

California CNA license renewal typically costs $30.00 plus, if applicable, an additional $45.00 - $85.00 for late renewal.
