You will receive a renewal application in the mail 2-4 months prior to license expiration. A Certified Nursing Assistant must perform at least 64 hours of nursing-related services in a health care setting during each 24-month certification period in order to qualify for recertification.
A CNA who does not perform at least 64 hours of nursing-related services in a certification time period must complete and pass a new training course and competency test, or take and pass the competency test.
In this state, your license is valid for 2 years from the last time you renewed your license.
There is no fee or cost to renew your CNA license in this state. You will need to pay a nominal fee if you have become listed as inactive on the state CNA registry.
