How do I renew My CNA license in Iowa?

A mailed recertification form will be sent out to the CNA 2- 3 months before your license expiration date.

You may also contact the state board of nursing and complete an online renewal request form. You must also show proof of employment for at least 8 hours as a CNA since your last license was issued.

How long is my Iowa CNA license valid?

As long as you remain active on the state CNA Registry, your license will be valid for 24 months.
