You will receive a pre-printed renewal application from the state board of nursing 2-3 month prior to the expiration of your CNA license. You will also need to show proof of being employed a minimum of 7 hours in the last two years as a CNA.
Failure to do so will result in you needing to retake the state nursing entrance test.
Your New Jersey CNA License is valid for 24 months from the date your last license was issued.
There is no cost to renew your New Jersey CNA License. If you have become inactive on the state nursing registry, you will need to pay a $90.00 fee to retake the CNA licensing Exam.
