The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is a nationally recognized & widely-used unit of measurement of involvement in continuing education (CE) programs or coursework.

One CE Unit is defined as 10 clockable hours (referred to as 10 contact hours) of direct interaction with an instructor (in traditional classroom, seminar, or online CEU formats) or engagement in preapproved program related activities. This does NOT include transportation time, breaks, or meals.
