LPN ProgramsLPN Program Details
The program focuses on a practical nurses role of providing basic care for patients under the supervision of the registered nurse or physician. Instruction includes anatomy and physiology, drug calculations, nutrition and diet therapy, ethics and patient care. Albany Tech’s medical programs utilize in-field learning called clinicals. During clinical experience, students provide care for patients in acute, long-term, mental health and outpatient facilities.
The Practical Nursing program is approved by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Practical Nurses and prepares graduates to take the National Council Licensure Examination.
