Alpena Community College offers two nursing program options: a one-year certificate program (Level I), and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree (Level II). Both programs have full approval by the State of Michigan State Board of Nursing. Upon successful completion of Level I and with approval of the Board of Nursing, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN for LPN licensure. Upon successful completion of Level II and with approval of the Board of Nursing, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN for RN licensure.
