The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics states that employment for LPN's is expected to grow about as fast as average for all occupations through 2014 as a result of the long-term care needs of the increasing elderly population.
Students who complete the 41-credit LPN program will be awarded a certificate. The LPN program is approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
Successful graduates of the Practical Nursing program are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination-PN (NCLEX-PN). Upon successful completion of this exam, graduates will be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
