ADN Program Details

As a graduate of our ADN program, you are eligible for licensure as a registered nurse. The role that these nurses play is an essential and influential part in the delivery of health care. As a professional nurse your responsibilities are many: caregiver, teacher, advocate, leader, communicator and collaborator. At ATS, our faculty provides the expert guidance and learning experiences to achieve these roles. We empower you and your ambition to succeed on your journey to becoming a professional nurse. To accommodate students’ needs, ATS offers a day and evening/weekend program. Both require full time attendance. No part-time course of study is offered. The ADN program is divided into five (5) semesters, with a three (3) semesters bridge option for the licensed practical nurse.

LPN Program Details

The Practical Nursing certificate is a three-semester program that combines college coursework with nursing theory and practical experience in a variety of clinical settings. Students are introduced to the concepts of health promotion and health maintenance. Students explore the theory of basic nursing care, pharmacology, disease process and specialty nursing. Students practice nursing skills in a simulated lab designed to model the clinical setting. Newly learned skills are then applied in clinical settings such as long-term care facilities and hospitals. Student practical nurses are exposed to a variety of departments within each setting to provide a better understanding of the care clients receive, and to expose students to potential career opportunities. These areas may include physical, occupational and respiratory therapy; maternity; pediatrics; behavioral health; and medical-surgical nursing.
