The course consists of eleven months of classroom theory and clinical experience. The curriculum is divided into five 9-week blocks for a total of 45 weeks, excluding holidays.
The course is full-time, Monday through Friday, for an average of 35-40 hours per week. Campus classes are generally from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and clinical days are generally from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. After the first nine weeks, two days per week are scheduled clinical assignments. The student may have to attend meetings, seminars, classes, etc., occasionally during the evening. The student will be given prior notice should this occur.
A diploma and a recommendation to write the National Council of State Boards Exam for Practical Nursing are granted at the successful completion of the program.
