Bellin College was founded in 1909 and has grown to become one of Wisconsin’s premier private Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree granting colleges. The College takes great pride in its commitment to academic excellence, as well as the strong clinical preparation that each undergraduate student receives. Our outstanding faculty, small class sizes, and state of the art technology contribute to a successful academic experience. Our success in expertly preparing each student to become a professional nurse is demonstrated by the high degree of performance and job placement of our graduates. Bellin College’s focused nursing curriculum, extensive clinical practica, and personal approach to teaching offers each student a quality, valuable, hands-on education.
The BSN degree requires a minimum of 128 credits for graduation. Nursing courses are offered at Bellin College and liberal education courses are taken concurrently with nursing courses starting with the first semester of enrollment. Bellin College offers select liberal education courses, however; liberal education courses are accepted from accredited two or four year institutions such as the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UWGB) or St. Norbert College (SNC). Bellin College also has agreements with College of Menominee Nation, and Silver Lake College.
For working nurses, Bellin College offers a Master of Science in Nursing degree, allowing nurses to acquire expertise in nursing leadership as they prepare to assume positions as educators.
The 38-credit MSN program is designed to be responsive to the registered nurse with multiple role responsibilities and a need for flexibility. All MSN courses are offered in eight-week terms with two terms in a semester and one term during the summer. Courses are also offered in two formats: on campus in a compressed scheduling format or through web-based courses. Students can opt to take all on-campus courses, all web-based courses, or a combination of both to progress more rapidly through the curriculum. These delivery options are designed to allow working registered nurses to pursue graduate studies with minimal interruption of professional, family, or community obligations.
