ADN Program Details

The Associate Degree Nursing program is designed to provide an educational opportunity in which students:

-Develop a scientific basis of nursing practice
-Master technical skills
-Develop caring patient relationships

Nursing and science classes are limited in size, and you will experience enhanced faculty interaction and learning in this program. In addition, the nursing lab will give you the opportunity to handle equipment and master technical skills prior to your hospital experience. Under the direct supervision of qualified instructors, you will experience patient interactions, which foster caring and empathetic approaches to nursing care.

During the second level of your program, you will focus on specialty areas such as pediatric and psychiatric nursing. These areas are designed so that you, as a member of a small group, have the opportunity to experience lectures and hospital clinical experience simultaneously. This multi-faceted approach allows you to apply your theory to nursing practice and fosters your learning.

The goals of the Registered Nursing Program are to:

-Graduate students who are competent in the scientific aspects of nursing
-Graduate students who are competent in the technical aspects of nursing
-Graduate students who are able to work with patients and families through caring, empathetic interactions

This two-year associate degree program prepares the graduate to pass the NCLEX-RN licensing examinations and become a Registered Nurse. Apply early to this highly-selective and highly-challenging program!

-Apply the nursing process through identification of clients’ needs and development of a plan of individualized care.

LPN Program Details

The Practical Nurse:

-Serves as a member of the health care team
-Works at the direction of a licensed physician or registered nurse
-Cares for the ill in hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, or long-term care facilities
-Is active in health promotion and illness prevention
