RN to BSN Program Details

The Bethel College RN-BSN program is designed for the practicing nurse who wants to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. You will learn with other registered nurses and will master content specific to baccalaureate nursing practice in a program flexibly designed around your personal schedule. Courses will build on the knowledge already gained in your RN program. They will be geared to the practicing RN, using learning from your current work environment and relating it to your class work. Format for these courses will be either a hybrid model (one in-person class, and the remainder of the content online) or all-online for 8 weeks per course. Once admitted to the program, you can expect to complete nursing coursework and final general education requirements within 18 months.

BSN Program Details

The Bethel College nursing program, which dates back to 1908, has built an exceptional, professional nursing curriculum on a strong liberal arts foundation long known for its academic excellence

Nursing is both an art and a science. Nursing is the art and science of informed caring. The essence of professional nursing education has a foundation of liberal arts with prerequisite work that includes knowledge of the natural sciences, social sciences and humanities.

Professional nurses do not view liberal arts as an educational luxury. A liberal arts core is essential since nursing deals, as does no other discipline, with the total human being – with biological, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual dimensions of life.

Acquiring the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree is an essential step in becoming a professional nurse. There is a growing need for nurses to be prepared at the baccalaureate level in all areas of nursing. Health care is increasingly complex and highly educated nurses are necessary to provide safe care. With rapid changes in health care, baccalaureate nurses will be used in ever-expanding roles.

Bethel’s Common Ground requirements meet the essentials for nursing preparation as defined by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. The Bethel B.S.N. is professionally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and approved by the Kansas Nursing Articulation Agreement.
