The Brazosport College ADN Program is a two year program awarding an Associate in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.). Upon satisfactory completion of all college and program requirements, graduates are eligible to make application to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
The ADN program has received initial accreditation from the Texas Board of Nursing and is in candidacy process with the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
To the right, there are links to helpful flyers and publications. One is a Suggested Plan of Study that outlines the prerequisites in an effective time schedule mapped out semester by semester.
The Vocational Nursing Program is eleven months, beginning approximately the last week in August and ending the last week of July.
Selection for the VN program is made by a committee of Brazosport College faculty and staff; based on the completed application, transcripts, references, work history, placement test results of qualified applicants, and successful completion of Anatomy for Allied Health, (classes held June and July).
