BSN Program Details

The nursing program is designed to prepare students to provide care that is sensitive to the unique health needs of individuals, families and communities. Evidence-based practice, theory, and professional values and standards combined with real world clinical experiences form the basis for this challenging undergraduate program. The 120 credit hour nursing program includes two years of pre-requisite coursework followed by two years of specialized study. Additionally, students learn the practice of nursing in a state-of-the-art simulation lab and in diverse clinical settings.

MSN Program Details

The Graduate program at Brenau University prepares students for the complexities of health care for the 21st century. The MSN programs seek to educate students in a caring environment providing opportunities for collaboration, communication, role competency, advocacy, leadership, and presence. The Graduate Program prepares graduate students in three major tracks: Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Educator, and Nurse Manager. As a graduate of the program the student will: develop role competency, demonstrate scholarly communication and apply evidence-based decision making.

Brenau University offers a unique experience in small cohorts, which provide students opportunity to collaborate with faculty and fellow graduate students. The program is structured in a hybrid format: Classes are conducted one Saturday per month and remaining classes are held online using the Blackboard format.

Doctor of Nursing Practice Program Details

The purpose of the DNP is to prepare graduates for the highest level of clinical practice and leadership in nursing. The program is a hybrid on-line and on-ground format over seven semesters. This post-masters program is designed for advanced practice nurses and nurse managers and leaders to take a leadership role in health care reform.
