If you are interested in becoming a registered nurse (RN), our Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (ADN) program will prepare you for multiple career opportunities in the healthcare field.
At Cabarrus College, you will gain clinical experience in a variety of hospital settings, including medical, surgical, pediatrics and mother/baby rotations. This is an exciting program for students entering college directly out of high school or for someone who is making a career change.

Many career opportunities are available you after you earn an ADN including working in hospitals, out-patient clinics, and physician offices. You will also be qualified for jobs in the growing field of elder care through positions in nursing homes or long-term care facilities.
As a graduates of the ADN program, you are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN). Over the past three years, Cabarrus College's personalized, hands-on approach to nursing has enabled students to achieve a 93% first-time pass rate on this exam. An ADN also gives you a solid foundation to continue your education through our online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN) Completion Program.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN) degree is an online completion program designed for registered nurses (RNs) who have graduated from either an associate degree or diploma program and who desire to expand their knowledge in the nursing profession.
In a rapidly changing healthcare environment, the RN-BSN degree enables the practicing registered nurse a greater opportunity for employment, increased responsibility, and career progression.
