This program prepares students for:
-perform selected nursing duties in the care of the sick, promotion of health, and the prevention of illness under the supervision of a licensed physician and of a registered nurse.
-sponsored by the Career Technology Center of Lackawanna County (CTCLC).
-approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Graduates are eligible to take the licensing examinations to become L.P.N.'s.
-was established in 1967 under the Manpower Development Training Act and was approved by the Veterans Administration in 1968.

The course is open to any interested person who:
-is a resident of Pennsylvania
-is a high school graduate with a diploma from an accredited school or has a Pennsylvania G.E.D.
-is in good physical and mental health as evidenced by a physical and dental exams.
-manifests ability to learn as indicated by a preadmission test, references and transcripts
