ADN Program Details
The mission of the Olive-Harvey College Nursing Program is to educate students to successfully complete the National Council Licensure Exam. We provide students with an accessible quality education embedded in culturally sensitive knowledge combined with compassionate care. Our students are prepared to meet the needs of the underserved community and a global society.
We believe nursing is a caring profession. Nurses empower individuals to make decisions regarding their health and well being. We believe learning is a lifelong process. We promote social change through leadership, scholarship and critical analysis. Through an integral use technology, compassion and integrity, we assist patients in achieving their self care potential.
The nursing program remains in compliance with the Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulations to deliver an Associate Degree Nursing Program. The department seeks accreditation from National League for Nurse’s Accrediting Commission and is planning to host a committee visit Spring 2011.
