The Practical Nursing Program at Central Georgia Technical College is a very difficult program to complete. However, students completing the program pass state licensing tests at a very high rate. Students choosing the Practical Nursing Program should be aware that only students with exceptional GPAs from first through fifth quarters graduate from the program. Admissions data reveals that, historically, a large percentage of students will not progress after the completion of 1st Quarter coursework. Therefore, it is recommended that students who pursue program completion in the Practical Nursing Program realize the two most important requirements:
1. Students must be capable of producing high quality academic work.
2. Students must be committed to a strong, rigorous academic load.
