LPN ProgramsLPN Program Details
The Practical Nursing Program follows the Cherokee County School District 1 calendar year. It is an 18 month program (two calendar years) which includes classroom and supervised clinical experience in an affiliated hospital and health care facilities. The program is approved by the
State Board of Nursing in South Carolina. The parent institution, Cherokee Technology Center is accredited by Southern Association of Schools and Colleges, and the South Carolina Board of Education. The program consists of two parts: Phase I- the first nine months includes lecture and
lab at Cherokee Technology Center and a 40 hour introductory clinical experience in basic patient care at a long-term care facility. Phase II- the second nine months includes lecture and 18 weeks of clinical experiences in various settings in Cherokee County.
