Admission Requirements: High School diploma or GED, successful completion of the pre-entrance exam and an acceptable physical examination. A criminal records check and drug screen will be required to be eligible for State Board Licensure. The curriculum includes:
• Foundations of Nursing Practice
• Nursing I, II, III
• Therapeutic Management I, II, III
• Anatomy & Physiology I, II
• Laboratory and Clinical Experience
Clinical experiences include acute and long term care, rehabilitation, and community health sites. Occasional evening and weekend clinicals may be scheduled. Graduates of the program meet the Ohio Board of Nursing Requirements for eligibility to take the NCLEX-PN exam. The Practical Nursing Program is accredited by NCA CASI. Completion will provide the opportunity to receive 20 Semester hours of credit in Allied Health at YSU.
