Practical nursing presents a rewarding career that can offer a lifetime of challenging experiences as a necessary part of the health care team.
Thousands of practical nurses are licensed annually and the demand is increasing rapidly. Each year more opportunities are being made available to the practical nurse in: hospitals, nursing homes, home health care, physician's offices, public health, private duty nursing, industry and other health care agencies.
This diploma program is a post-secondary educational service of the Clarion County Career Center completed in one calendar year for the full-time classes, and two calendar years for the part-time class. One class per year is accepted, beginning every September; and one part-time class every other year in November. It is designed to prepare a student to function as a practical nurse upon graduation.
