RN to BSN Program Details

Clarke University offers registered nurses the opportunity to complete a bachelor of science degree with a major in nursing and acquire the knowledge and skills needed to enhance their careers in professional nursing.

Nursing photoClarke University accepts up to 90 credit hours toward a bachelor of science degree in nursing (BSN) from students who have completed their RN degree. The remaining 34 credits will be completed at Clarke University. Twenty four of these credits are required nursing courses. In addition, students must complete all Clarke University general education requirements.

As a validated participant in the Iowa Articulation Plan for Nursing Education: RN to Baccalaureate, Clarke offers advanced placement to RNs interested in returning to college for a baccalaureate degree. The program is designed to grant academic credit for previous education and experience. With guidance from the articulation coordinator, the student selects the articulation option most appropriate for his/her situation and receives 31 semester hours.

In consideration of the needs of adult learners, the TimeSaver Nursing Program’s required nursing and health courses are held every other Saturday during daytime hours. Students may attend full- or part-time. Courses are scheduled in such a way that an individual could complete all required nursing and health courses in two years.
