The Associate Degree in Applied Science in Nursing is a two-year program which includes the summer term following the freshman year of study.(Cleveland State offers both an Associate Degree and a transition option for Licensed Practical Nurses.)
Clinical and laboratory experiences are an integral and important part of the curriculum for the nursing program at Cleveland State. Cleveland State Community College’s program is well supported by local health care facilities which provide practical application of skills and knowledge.
Criminal background checks and drug screens are required at the affiliated clinical sites for training. Based on the results of these checks, an affiliated clinical site may determine to not allow your presence at their facility. This could result in your inability to successfully complete the requirements of this program. Additionally, a criminal background may preclude licensure or employment.
