ADN Program Details
The Associate Degree Nursing Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 500, Atlanta, GA 30326, Telephone Number 404-975-5000, Fax 404-975-5020). The Associate Degree Nursing curriculum provides individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care to patients and groups of patients throughout the lifespan in a variety of settings. Courses will include content related to the nurse’s role as provider of nursing care, as manager of care, as a member of the discipline of nursing, and as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Graduates of this program are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) which is required for practice as a Registered Nurse. Employment opportunities include hospitals, long term care facilities, clinics, physicians’ offices, industry, and community agencies.
LPN Program Details
The Practical Nursing curriculum prepares individuals with the knowledge and skills to provide nursing care to children and adults. Students will participate in assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. Graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) which is required for practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Employment opportunities include hospitals, long term care facilities, clinics, physicians’ offices, industry, and home health agencies.
