BSN Program Details

The outstanding reputation of the Mount's Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program is built upon more than eight decades of experience in educating nurses who have become effective practitioners, administrators and educators in all areas of nursing and healthcare delivery in the United States and throughout world.

The program is committed to providing educational and experiential opportunities for nurses to meet new challenges in response to the health and nursing needs of people in whatever setting they may be found. It integrates the liberal arts and sciences using a value-centered approach with the knowledge and skills essential for patient centered nursing practice. The Nursing program is approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

MSN Program Details

If you've ever considered embarking on an exciting new career as a nurse, the Master of Nursing program at the College of Mount St. Joseph can help you reach this goal in as little as 15 months, including clinical experience. The Mount offers a full-time master of nursing program (MN) for individuals with bachelor's degrees in disciplines other than nursing who are interested in pursuing a nursing career.

What the MN degree program is:

-An accelerated graduate-level program for individuals who have a non-nursing bachelor's degree and would like to become a nurse
-A program that prepares the student at a higher level than a traditional BSN program to enter the profession of nursing

What the MN degree program is not:

-A program that prepares the nurse for advanced practice positions, such as a clinical nurse specialist, or a nurse practitioner
-A Master of Science in Nursing degree

Why an MN?

-The program offers the shortest path for college graduates who want to be nurses.
-The courses will emphasize research, evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and theoretical perspectives in nursing and will be taught at a higher level than traditional BSN courses.
