Many nurses of both genders get their start in our associate degree program. With a two- or three-year commitment, you can have the strength of a St. Kate’s education and our excellent reputation to back you in obtaining a job as a registered nurse. An associate degree also can be a stepping stone to a bachelor’s degree as you progress in your career.
Students enter this program as "Pre-Nursing" students. Pre-Nursing students first take liberal arts courses required for the degree, and then proceed into Nursing courses.

In St. Catherine’s baccalaureate nursing program, you will learn essential knowledge and skills that can lead to a career in this challenging and rewarding profession. Upon graduation, you will be prepared to become a registered nurse (RN).

Master of Arts in Nursing students who are interested in completing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree may work with their advisors to move directly into St. Kate's DNP program, a post-master's degree designed for nurses advancing into the highest levels of practice.
The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program is a great next step for you if you are engaged in advanced nursing practice and want to expand your knowledge and skills to transform healthcare delivery and education.
New to many healthcare facilities and academic settings, DNPs are prepared to take on leadership roles. St. Kate’s practice-focused DNP program educates master’s-prepared nurses to:
