LPN Program Details

Blake Austin’s Vocational Nursing program prepares students to assist in providing care in a variety of health agencies to adults and children. Our Vocational Nursing instructors are experienced health care professionals who care about each student's success. Students are clinically trained in numerous local health care facilities. Facilities include hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics and other health care facilities. The student-teacher ratio is 15:1, so Blake Austin College Medical Career students have access to personal attention from their instructors.

We'll prepare you for direct patient care and the start of an upward mobile career. You'll receive classroom training and hands-on practice to take the National Council Licensure examination for Practical/Vocational Nurses (NCLEX-PN). Once certified, you're ready to join a healthcare team under the direction of a registered nurse or physician to provide patient care in a wide variety of clinic, home, or hospital settings.
