Practical Nursing is a 1350-hour course designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the nursing profession which includes theoretical instruction and clinical experience in medical, surgical, obstetric, pediatric and geriatric nursing. Clinical experiences are obtained in acute and long-term care facilities. Theoretical instruction and clinical application are done in the vocational role, wellness concepts, community health, legal aspects, current issues in nursing, nutrition, growth and development, administration of medications, blood borne pathogens and emergency care.
