RN to BSN Program Details

A completion program designed for the registered nurse student with a diploma or associate degree in nursing. This program is offered through multiple avenues and locations. Students have the choice of taking classes at our Davie, Boca and/or Treasure Coast Campus or they may choose to complete the curriculum solely on-line or a combination of both.

BSN Program Details

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a professional program building on knowledge in science, humanities and related disciplines. Our coursework emphasizes caring as a framework for clinical reasoning regarding health, nursing therapeutics, person/environment interaction, and utilization of health care resources. Clinical experiences occur in a wide variety of hospital and community settings serving diverse populations. BSN graduates are prepared as general clinical practitioners, and are eligible for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX) in order to secure licensure as a Registered Nurse. The BSN program is highly competitive, and demands rigorous studies with clinical application. The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing BSN program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

MSN Program Details

Our graduate Masters program is designed to offer the leadership, clinical experience and teaching skills that you will need in your chosen direction of practice. The caring philosophy of our College is evident throughout our curriculum, which has been designed to fit your schedule and your life. Our students, many of whom continue their professional careers while they resume their studies, enjoy the flexibility of full or part-time curriculums. Our core courses also provide the option of face-to-face or on-line learning.

Accelerated BSN Program Details

The accelerated program is specifically designed for the student with a baccalaureate degree in another field who wants to become a registered nurse. This limited-access program is a fast-track to a professional nursing career. It is an intensive twelve month program of full-time academic study for motivated individuals looking for a challenging and stimulating career in nursing.

The program begins each May in the first summer session. Students complete 16 academic credits during the summer sessions; 19 academic credits during the fall semester; and 20 academic credits during the spring semester.

As a practice discipline, the professional nursing student's plan of study will include: approximately 20 nursing practice hours per week during the summer, approximately 26-30 nursing practice hours per week during the fall and spring semesters in addition to classroom and on-line learning activities. Due to the intensity of the program, the College of Nursing strongly recommends that students refrain from working throughout the duration of the program.

Doctor of Nursing Practice Program Details

The Christine E. Lynn's philosophy of caring is the foundation of our curriculum and guides how we are as a community of scholars. Your interest in pursuing a DNP reflects your commitment to enhance your leadership skills to promote the health of persons and communities. Our community in SE Florida is very diverse, as are the populations we serve. We are privileged to have a DNP student body that reflects this diversity.

The DNP classes are offered on a weekend format and are Web-assisted to accommodate the personal and professional lives of our students.
