Nursing Programs Offered

LPN Program Details

Practical Nursing program is accredited by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Students enrolled in the program complete over 1463 hours including a combination of classroom theory, laboratory training and clinical practice. The nursing program now offers two options for completion.

The first option is the traditional full-time, daytime program. It is approximately 11 months in length. Classes meet Monday through Friday, with classroom hours typically 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Clinical hours for this option varies, often starting earlier in the morning with some evening hours required.

The second option is a part-time, evening program. It is approximately 20 months in length. Classes meet Monday through Thursday. Classroom hours are typically 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Clinical hours are 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. During the third trimester, some Fridays are also required.

Course content focuses on the nursing skills, theory, and professional requirements for an entry-level position as a licensed practical nurse. The program is divided into three semesters. A clinical course is incorporated into each trimester.
