LPN Program Details

The Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing is a 44 week full time program that prepares the graduate to sit for the NCLEX-PN licensing exam. This license can be transferred to any state.

The curriculum focuses on nursing care of individuals from pediatrics through geriatrics and includes IV therapy and medication administration. Theory courses and clinical experiences are offered Monday through Friday during the day with an occasional weekend or afternoon experience.

Employment opportunities continue to be plentiful in hospitals, long-term care facilities, physician offices, schools, and home health care agencies etc.

Licensed graduates are also qualified for admission into an associate or baccalaureate nursing program for the opportunity to become a registered nurse.

The program is fully accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing as well as the Ohio Department of Education.

Students are admitted twice a year in the spring and fall. Applicants must take the A.C.T.WorkKeys pre-entrance test. A medical terminology course is required and is offered in July and January each year at the school.

Financial assistance is available to qualifying students through Title IV funding, and other grants and loans. Applicants are encouraged to begin the financial aid process at the local One Stop Office.
