ADN Program Details

To fulfill your dream of becoming a registered nurse, choose Hesston College's Associate Degree Nursing Program. Here you will be able to follow one of several paths that will help you reach your destination in the nursing field. Along the way the nursing instructors, other professors at the college, and hospital health care professionals will guide you.

-Compare what Hesston College has to offer. As a private liberal arts college, the Hesston program provides opportunities for spiritual, cultural, athletic, and interpersonal growth. Students complete a wide range of general education courses along with nursing classes for a well-rounded educational experience. Instructors are concerned about your education and work with you on a one-to-one basis to maximize your learning.
-Visit the campus. Hesston College offers a caring campus community in a small town that is quiet and conducive to study. For commuting students, we are conveniently located near Newton, Hutchinson, McPherson, and Wichita. Dorm students express high satisfaction with the quality of campus life and friendships.
-Fill out the application form. When we receive your application, we can determine options for scholarships and other forms of financial aid.
-Plan your education. Talk with your admissions counselor who will schedule a time for you to meet with nursing staff to develop an individualized plan of study for your education. Two or three-year plans are most common to prepare you for RN licensure.
-Start classes. Hesston’s courses provide you with more than basic instruction. You will discover that theory and practice come together to prepare you for direct client care in acute and extended care facilities.
-Take the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) for RNs. This exam, taken after your graduation, is a milestone in your nursing career. More than 98 percent of the Hesston graduates have passed this licensure exam and are now registered nurses.
-Become a registered nurse. When you get that first job as an RN, you will be glad that you chose Hesston College’s nursing program for a solid foundation on which to build your career.
