This program is designed to teach entry-level skills required for practical nursing. The Practical Nursing Program is divided into four (4) quarters of study during which students receiving training in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings. Courses are designed in order for the student to progress from simple to more complex areas of study. Within its curriculum, entry-level skills required for employment in certain other health care occupations may be obtained (i.e. nurse assisting). The graduate should be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).
