LPN Program Details

All applicants will be admitted on the basis of their pre-entrance examination (TEAS test) results, interview, essay, transcripts, and available program positions.

Additional requirements such as a complete physical exam and immunizations will be required of those candidates who have been accepted into the program. Admission is based on a competitive application, not on a waiting list. The School of Practical Nursing conducts the admission process on an on-going basis with classes starting in January and August. It is helpful to attend an Information Session to hear about the admission process, the program, financial aid, and to talk with faculty. These sessions are offered the 1st Thursday of every month.

Candidates should meet physical criteria including: corrected vision to 20/20, corrected hearing for listening to sounds such as blood pressure and breath sounds, able to perform manipulative skills with speed, dexterity, and agility, able to lift with no restrictions, and able to climb stairs, bend and stretch.
