RN to BSN Program Details

Students may enter the ASN-BSN program directly out of high school. Students with prior college experience may be able to transfer in eligible general education coursework for those courses where a grade of C or better is attained. The ASN-BSN program is offered on the Geisinger Medical Center Campus in Danville, PA.

Students with or without transfer credit complete the first two years of the program on the same schedule and are subject to the comprehensive fee structure regardless of the number of credits they take each semester.

Upon completion of the first 2 years, students receive the ASN degree and are eligible to write the examination for RN licensure (NCLEX). At this point students are prepared to serve as generalists in the role of caregiver in a hospital or inpatient setting. Students can complete the BSN requirements on a full- or part-time basis while employed as an RN.
