Practical Nursing is a 12-month program for adults interested in working as a practical nurse. Successful completion of the course enables the graduate to apply to the Missouri State Board of Nursing for permission to take the licensing examination for practical nurses. A graduate must pass the examination to be licensed as an LPN.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, must be a graduate of an accredited high school or successfully completed the Graduate Equivalency examination. Pre-admission tests are administered by the Technical Center. Applicants are selected by the Admission Committee based on test performance and references. All applicants must meet the admission criteria including a background check.
