ADN Program Details

Comprehensive Nursing Degree Program

Our nursing curriculum is designed to provide you with the professional knowledge and training to meet client health care needs in a variety of settings. Coursework includes instruction in the following:

-Human behavior, motivation, emotions, cognition, and personality
-Anatomy and physiology of the human body, including the skeletal, muscular, circulatory, nervous, and respiratory systems
-Pharmacological principles, including drug classifications, required nursing assessments, and patient teaching requirements
-Leadership and management skills as a provider of care, coordinator of care, and member of the profession

LPN Program Details

Combining classroom learning with hands-on clinical lab experience, our program can prepare you to deliver direct care to patients under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse. Through comprehensive education at Kaplan College in San Diego, CA, you could gain experience performing nursing duties that include:

Data collection
Basic bedside nursing
Tracheotomy care
Medication administration and documentation
Patient education

By earning a diploma from our vocational nursing program, you may pursue entry-level positions such as:

Acute care staff nurse
Home health nurse
Licensed vocational nurse (after passing state exam)
Long-term care charge or staff nurse
Phlebotomy/blood bank nurse
