The goal of the RN to BSN Program is to provide students who have completed either an associate degree or diploma program with a mechanism for obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in order expand their knowledge base in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains and to expand their capacity for critical thinking. This curriculum provides a general education with exposure to multiple disciplines including fine arts, social sciences, and humanities in an interactive environment which is conducive to learning and encourages active student participation and self-directed learning through the integration of clinical knowledge, research, evidence-based practice, and technology.
Criteria for admission include the following:
Regular admission to Marshall University
Separate application to the School of Nursing
Unencumbered RN nursing license
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
An overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on all college work
