Nursing is a profession that provides health care services to the ill, the disabled, and the healthy. Nursing promotes health in all individuals through research, health education, and patient consultation.
The Nursing program at MCC offers a variety of course schedules presented at selected sites with full-time and online options. Clinical experiences are provided in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Nursing students work directly with patients, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals. They receive hands-on experience in select specialty areas in community, long-term care, and acute care facilities.
Completion of the Nursing program and general education degree requirements prepares students for licensure as a registered nurse. Licensing requirements are the exclusive responsibility of the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
