As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will be a vital member of the health care team. The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program will prepare you to function with judgment and technical competence in providing care for individual patients, as well as groups of patients. You will gain the knowledge and skills to work competently as a registered nurse. The ADN program provides a balance between knowledge and technical skills in physical and biological sciences, social sciences and nursing. It also includes classroom discussion, independent learning projects, audio-tutorial labs and hands-on clinical experiences in area health care agencies.
MSTC's Nursing program is part of the system-wide curriculum developed by the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS). The ADN program will offer the option to students to be eligible to take the national licensing test for Licensed Practical Nurse after completion of the first year (32 credits). Students will be eligible to take the licensing exam for Registered Nurse after completion of all 70 credits in the ADN program.
