LPN Program Details

This program is a post-secondary education program. The level of instruction and academic demands on the student are similar to the first year of college. The successful student will graduate from the program with a nursing diploma and is then eligible to sit for the state licensure exam - NCLEX. This is a fast paced and intense one-year program of study. Computer skills are a necessity in the current and future nursing field. See the link on our Web Resources page to learn to type.

Practical nurses have many demands in their workplace and need to be physically able to perform a variety of tasks.
