The Practical Nursing curriculum is designed to prepare beginning practitioners with the knowledge and skills, as entry level nurses, to care for patients of all age groups. Students will be prepared to assist
in meeting the health needs of the community through provision of quality nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN). The program length is three semesters (one year). This program has been approved by the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
