ADN Program Details

The Associate Degree Nursing program is located in Childers Hall at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, MS.The graduate of the program receives an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree and is eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The title of Registered Nurse (R.N.) is awarded after successful completion of the licensure examination.

The A.D.N program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), 61 Broadway, New York City, NY 10006 and the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning, Board of Trustees (IHL).

LPN Program Details

The Practical Nursing program is located in Wright Hall at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, MS.The graduate of the program receives a Certificate of Practical Nursing and is eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN). The title of Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) is awarded after successful completion of the licensure examination. (MSBN)

The Practical Nursing program is accrediated by the State Board for Community and Junior Colleges (SBCJC), 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, MS 39211

The Practical Nursing program prepares the individual to assist in providing general nursing care requiring basic knowledge of the biological, physical, behavioral, psychological, and sociological sciences; and of nursing procedures which do not require the skills, judgment, and knowledge required of a registered nurse. This care is performed under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, or dentist. Practical Nursing courses are included in each semester of the prescribed curriculum.

The institution is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the Mississippi State Accrediting Committee of Community and Junior Colleges.
