NETC developed its Practical Nursing program to meet the needs of health providers in Chesterfield, Marlboro and Dillon counties. Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) have many responsibilities. Typically, they care for ill, injured, convalescent and disabled persons in hospitals, clinics, doctors' offices, private homes, nursing homes or medical care institutions. Generally, they work a 40-hour week, which includes nights, weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
The practical nursing program at NETC is a one-year diploma program. Nurses are necessary to the health care field. Upon receiving your diploma in practical nursing from NETC, you will be able to find a job in hospitals, doctors' offices and nursing homes.
