ADN Program Details
Registered nurses form the largest health care occupation, with 2.5 million jobs. An associate degree is one path to registered nursing. NMC’s program is approved by the Michigan Board of Nursing. Graduates are eligible to apply for the State Board Examination for licensing as a registered nurse.
More than half a million new RN jobs will be created between 2006-16. Overall job opportunities are expected to be excellent due to a nationwide nurse shortage.
Being a registered nurse is both challenging and rewarding. The profession offers flexible scheduling, good salaries and the satisfaction of making a valuable impact on the lives of patients. Many diverse career paths are open to RNs.
LPN Program Details
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) care for the sick, injured, convalescent and disabled under the direction of physicians and registered nurses. NMC’s LPN program can be completed in two semesters after pre-requisite courses are completed. The program is approved by the Michigan Board of Nursing. Graduates are eligible to apply for the State Board Examination for licensing as a practical nurse.
