LPN Program Details

The OCVTS Practical Nursing program was formed in 1959. The program is approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing and the Department of
Education. Graduates are eligible to take the New Jersey Board of Nursing Examination for qualification as a Licensed Practical Nurse. The Practical Nursing Program has a competitive admissions process. Class sizes are limited and the application process may take up to one year to complete. The course is 44 weeks (1540 hours) in length, excluding holidays and weekends. Forty percent of the time is devoted to classroom theory
and laboratory. The remaining time is devoted to clinical experience.
