SJVC's Registered Nursing program prepares students to work in the medical field as a Registered Nurse. Students learn to administer medication and treatment to patients, perform laboratory work, and to give diagnoses. Graduates are awarded an Associate of Science Degree and are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN).

SJVC’s Licensed Vocational Nursing program gives you the skill and knowledge to offer professional care to the sick, injured, convalescent and disabled under the direction of physicians and registered nurses. LVNs are an important part of a health care team responsible for detecting illnesses, medical treatment and rehabilitation, as well as patient education.
