Shawnee State’s Associate Degree Nursing Program began in 1969 at Ohio University Portsmouth campus. For over 30 years, the ADN program has graduated quality nurses who have assumed multiple roles in health care facilities in the community, region, and across the nation. The program is fully approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
The bachelor of science of nursing (RN-BSN) program builds on the foundation of associate degree or diploma education and prepares the registered nurse for professional nursing practice in a variety of settings. Graduates of the RN-BSN program are prepared for leadership positions and for graduate study.
