Stanbridge College's vocational nursing program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide direct nursing care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and home and community based settings. The program includes classroom theory, laboratory experience and supervised clinical experience in area hospitals, long term care facilities and community health care agencies.
At Stanbridge, we know that working adults who wish to move ahead in their careers can't always attend classes on weekday mornings and afternoons. That is why our part time VN classes take place on two weekday evenings, plus Saturday morning and afternoon. This schedule balances your nursing education with your obligations to work, family and life. For students seeking to go to school full time, Stanbridge offers a Monday – Friday, morning and afternoon full time class.
LVNs work in a wide variety of settings - not only in hospitals and clinics, but nursing care facilities, outpatient and home care agencies, dialysis centers, convalescent hospitals and blood banks. They are the hands-on link between patients and registered nurses and physicians. It takes caring, courage and fortitude to join the ranks of the VNs, but it's worth it to make a difference for yourself, your patients and your world. Graduates of the program take positions in the medical field in areas such as:
Hospitals
Convalescent Homes
Long-Term Care Facilities
Doctor's Offices
Home Care Agencies
